EcoGeographica
EcoGeographica, is a system through which people will be able to share knowledge, images, sound and video describing and depicting nature.
There will be two implementations of it.
The first implementation (online EcoGeographica) is as system that supports websites which allow users to describe all aspects of the natural world around them. The prototype (under construction) is at www.speakingoftheotways.net, which is devoted to the Otway Ranges in south-west Victoria, Australia.
The second implementation (desktop Ecogeographica) will be a software application that runs on your computer independent of the internet. You will be able to use this to record information files and images describing and depicting nature. You'll also be able to use it to exchange the files and information with other people.
Ultimately, the two systems will be able to interchange information, data and files.

Why I'm doing it
I love nature.
I see it passing away everywhere I go.
As a society we don't appreciate, understand or nurture it well enough to stop ourselves destroying it.
Many individuals do care and are working hard to conserve it.
EcoGeographica is a tool that will help us do this.
